THE BC Cargo & Courier – Company Policies & Terms

Our commitment to transparency, data protection, cargo safety, and fair trade practices for global shippers.

1. Shipping & Delivery Policies

THE BC Cargo & Courier operates a global freight forwarding network connecting Nepal to over 120 destinations worldwide across Air Freight, Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL), Land Transport, and Express Courier corridors.

1.1 Transit Timelines & Schedules

Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) dates provided during quote issuance or tracking inquiries are estimated ranges subject to carrier scheduling, weather conditions, and border customs clearances:

  • Express Air Freight: 3 to 7 business days from warehouse dispatch to destination airport or door delivery.
  • Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL): 15 to 35 business days depending on transit port routing (via Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Singapore, or Dubai hubs).
  • Cross-Border Land Freight: 3 to 10 business days across regional transit hubs in South Asia.

1.2 Documentation Requirements

Shippers are strictly responsible for providing complete, legally compliant export/import documentation prior to cargo dispatch. Required documents include valid commercial invoices, detailed packing lists, Certificates of Origin (SAFTA/CO), HS Code classifications, and relevant export licenses. Delays resulting from missing or inaccurate documents remain the responsibility of the sender.

1.3 Customs Clearance & Tariff Responsibilities

Unless explicitly contracted as DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), all import tariffs, customs duties, local VAT/GST taxes, port demurrage, and customs inspection fees assessed by destination authorities are the exclusive responsibility of the recipient/consignee.

1.4 Door Delivery & Verification Protocol

For door-to-door courier dispatches, delivery requires a signature or valid OTP/phone verification from the authorized recipient. If a delivery attempt fails due to recipient absence or invalid contact details, re-consignment fees or storage charges may apply.
