Nepal to United Kingdom

For Aldershot, Reading, Plumstead, and everywhere in between.

The UK has one of the oldest Nepali communities abroad, from Gurkha families to students. We send them home food, sukuti included, clothes and papers.

Two things make UK parcels smooth: the postcode, which tells the courier almost the exact street, and an honest value on the declaration.

Gifts from one person to another worth £39 or less usually pay no VAT. Above that, the receiver may get a bill from the courier before delivery.

What the receiver needs

Get the postcode exactly right. It does most of the work.

UK postcodes have a space in the middle (GU11 1SS). Keep it.

Questions

Can I send sukuti to the UK?

Yes, on our meat service. The parcel is priced by weight, then the meat weight has an extra per-kg fee. Tick "meat" in the calculator to see it.

Will the receiver pay VAT?

For personal gifts worth £39 or less, usually not. Above that, VAT and sometimes duty apply, and the UK delivery company collects it.

Can I send gundruk and achar?

Yes, sealed and double-bagged. Oily achar counts as liquid.
