Portugal is one of the European routes where we take sukuti, on its own per-kg fee. Everything else is priced by weight from the live list below.
What you can send
- Sukuti and dried meat: Sukuti and dried meat go to Portugal on our meat service, with an extra fee per kg of meat. Vacuum-pack it.
- Dry, packed food: Masala, tea, gundruk and sealed snacks.
- Clothes and shoes: Warm layers travel well; European winters are long.
- Documents: Certificates and translations for residence or study papers.
- Handicrafts and pashmina: Pashmina, singing bowls and thangka make good gifts.
- Prescribed medicine: Personal amounts with the prescription in the box; a small fee per box applies.
What not to send
- Fresh fruit, vegetables and plants: Plant health rules stop them at the border.
- Batteries, gas and anything flammable: Power banks, loose lithium batteries, lighters, matches, perfume in large amounts and aerosol cans cannot fly in cargo.
- Cash, gold and copied brands: No cash, gold, silver or jewellery of value, and no fake branded goods. Customs seize them and the parcel stops.
What the receiver needs
A Portugal address, written the local way:
- Full name as on their residence permit
- Street and house number (flat number if any)
- Postcode as 4 + 3 digits (e.g. 1000-001 Lisboa)
- Portuguese mobile (+351 9X)
Rural addresses in Alentejo can be vague. For farm housing, add the farm name and a reachable phone.

Who pays customs in Portugal?
The receiver, if any is due. Small personal gifts (about €45 or less) usually pay nothing.
