Nepal to New Zealand
The longest route we run. Pack it like it.
Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch. New Zealand checks every box for food and plant material, so a tidy, declared parcel is a fast parcel.
New Zealand protects its farms the same way Australia does. Anything food, seed or plant gets looked at. Shoes with soil on them can be held too, so clean them first.
What you can send
- Clothes and shoes: Clean shoes and boots well; dirt counts as a biosecurity risk.
- Documents: Certificates and letters travel without trouble.
- Dry, packed food: Shop-packed, sealed and declared. Leave homemade food at home.
- Handicrafts and pashmina: Metal and fabric crafts are fine. Wooden items need checking.
What not to send
- Meat of any kind: No meat of any kind.
- Seeds, honey and dairy: Commonly refused by New Zealand biosecurity.
- Batteries, gas and anything flammable: Power banks, loose lithium batteries, lighters, matches, perfume in large amounts and aerosol cans cannot fly in cargo.
